We are playing 2 senior safetys but one senior, a sophomore, a rs freshman and a 160 pound true freshman almost every play at corner. Not because they're the best we have but because they're all we have. We have no depth there. We lost a starting sophomore in Holmes and two upperclassmen in Hines and Stribling who aren't contributing.
Also clearly coaching is a problem, you need a Safties and CB coach and I'm not sure either one needs to be Walters. The combination of lack of talent and not putting guys in a position to succeed is killing this defense.
Our DEs should be Brady, Loud, Howard and Frazier. That not being the case means a DII player, two freshman and two Jucos are our DEs and they're not getting pressure on anyone yet. This also hurts the secondary making them cover wrs down field for way too long.
