Blue Springs was a team on a mission Saturday and I'm not sure any team in the state can hang with them. They are now at full-strength on both sides of the ball for the first time all season.

  • Daniel Parker was blowing the PH offensive line up all day. Unofficially had four sacks in the second half.
  • Caleb Marquez is the best player in the state most have not heard of. The kid is a beast and his primary role is the lead blocker for junior Aveion Bailey. Had three TD's on Saturday in short-yardage situations. He may be the most physically imposing fullback I've ever seen in high school. He's also one hell of a catcher per folks in the know in Blue Springs.
  • I'm not sure why Aveion Bailey doesn't have a profile on Rivals. He runs hard... and when he takes his first hit on a run, he then runs even harder. He's my choice to win the Simone award next year. Check out his run at the 2:45 mark.
  • Blue Springs has a freshman that is an absolute man-child. He's getting meaningful reps with the first team during games. I'm guessing he is 6-6, 270 lbs right now. He is in a couple of clips (#70).
  • Love Ronnie Bell from Park Hill. He's Landry Shamet 2.0 on the basketball court. He went to #7 all-time in MSHSAA for yards in a season.
  • RB Cade Musser is really good when healthy.
