Party of division?

I have never seen any republican chastise anyone or cancel friendships because someone they knew voted for Hillary or for Obama. However, I know of a significant amount of Democrat people who cancelled friendships with someone because they voted for Trump.

I doubt I am alone on this. Anyone else have similar stories?
