If the season plays out poorly and BO id let go or he is let go next year. I don't expect Sterk to be nearly as pessimistic as our fans about our HC position. In the basketball search he was looking at big names and I don't expect any less for football.
Paul Chryst is currently making 2.3 million the same amount as BO. The past two previous coaches we hired away with no bidding war and Alvarez has made it clear that's not his game.

It might be possible to get Chryst to Mizzou if Sterk goes that direction. Offer him half a million to a million more and make him say no. His program is the type that could work in the SEC with a pound it out offense and swarming D. His recruiting also fits in that he develops kids into stars rather than needing high level recruits
