Since every time I post in a thread, it gets hit with a "thread watched" tag...I might has well get something off my chest. My biggest criticism of PowerMizzou has been Gabe's (and to a lesser extent Mitchell's) feeling that there is no way that Mizzou should or can compete with more than half of the other teams in the SEC. Granted, nobody else in the conference competes well against Alabama. Before this season, Georgia, Florida, LSU, and Auburn were also considered far above Mizzou's (talent) level. Not just this year, but forever. Even Tennessee, and Texas A&M were considered close to the unapproachable level. However, a few years ago when Mizzou beat both Tennessee and Florida on the road they were considered a fluke because the Vols and Gators were having down years. Yes, teams have down years when they lose games. My point then, and now, is when you go into a stadium with 90K plus opposing fans and win, you have reached parity. Mizzou fell back for a few years because of recruiting and overall coaching. That seems to have change. If the Tigers can finish at least 5-5 in 2020, retain most of the coaching staff for a few years, and recruit at a Top 25, or better, level, then we should not look at the football program as not being good enough to compete with almost any other team in the conference. We may not win all the game against the top level teams, but the Tigers should be dangerous and win their share. Congratulations go to the players, coaches, everyone connected with the program, and to the fans. Mizzou beat LSU in an LSU "home game" (even if it was played in CoMo).
