A year ago and even six months ago, about the most optimistic expectations were to possibly be a bubble team and hopefully make the NIT. Now after defying all expectations by being the four seed in the SEC tournament, advancing to the semifinals for the first time ever, winnning 25 games for the first time in many years, and winning an NCAA Tournament game for the first time in 13 years, we have a group who are all pissed off because tonight wasn't our night and we lost in the second round of the tournament virtually none of us thought we would be in. So they were a 15 seed, that same seed beat a #2 seed and obvoiusly have some talent and are well-coached. Funny, but these types of games are why so many of us are enthralled by this tournament every year and think it's great.
I'm glad this loss won't dampen my enthusiasm for the future or affect my joy at al the great moments this team has given us. I have no doubt we will be back soon and often. Now, I'm going to enjoy the rest of the games so have at me.
