I have to admit that I seriously overrated Phillips the last couple years. I thought he was one of the guys that you would want to keep around. The last couple years he played more like a shooting guard, but I thought that was out of necessity due to the simple fact that we had nobody to score. And he did OK in that role.
But to put it bluntly, he looks awful this year. It seems like a chore for him even to dribble the ball for more than a few seconds. Surely he has regressed, right? He wasn’t this bad before was he? I’ve never felt more wrong on a player than I have been with him.
