It’s refreshing to see a freshman like Pickett come in and contribute on both ends of the court. Mizzou hasn’t had a player like that in some time (Jontay was close, but Pickett has a better instinct than Jontay).
The lack of b-ball smarts started with Haith. He was obsessed with recruiting transfer “athletes”. His players could often jump out of he gym but didn’t have a ton of b-ball knowledge.
KA just did whatever it was he did... I hope Cuonzo can find more players like Pickett, tough defenders with a nose for the hoop.
