Using the QB situation at Mizzou. What if Mizzou brings in a QB transfer after May 1? Then your Cook or Macon and decide that it is not a good situation and want to transfer. It provides them the opportunity to play next year and not having to sit out.
Same happens with basketball. Mizzou gets a SG, Sharp and Northweather. and push DeGray to leave. It provides him an opportunity to play next season.
