Talked to someone who knows a lot more about the NBA than I do. Asked if Porter is gone for sure next year. He said "No doubt. He won't slip past five or six." And said if anything this makes it more likely he leaves.
Outside of the Mizzou fan side of this, the kid's future is much murkier than it was a month ago. Back injuries don't just go away, sometimes even surgery doesn't fix them. For Mike's sake, I really hope he's able to fully recover and be the player everyone thinks. But I think there's almost zero chance it is at Mizzou.
