There was never the recognition of the necessary and valuable role of police to balance the desire to weed out the small minority of bad actors in the force. Indeed the left up to the highest lev3l of Dem pols gave tacit or overt approval to riots, assaults on Leo’s, looting, arson and murder up through and including the democrat national convention. They poured gasoline on the fire built by groups like BLM and Antifa to excite the white liberal and black voters to the cause that the country’s major problem was the police. It was only a couple of weeks after nomination and polls showed people worried about lawlessness, that our senile douche in chief at long last said, “Folks I never said I condoned violence. Of course not”.
So with the entire democrat party and liberal establishment, their big media and social media shills cheering municipalities across the country cut funding and handcuffed police departments as “the solution”.
So now police ranks have fallen. The people leaving and not joining the ranks are often the best and brightest. Morale is at an all time low.
How’s that working out? Yes the left sent a message. Yes the police heard it. They have left force, too undermanned to carry out all duties, and have no reason to stick their neck out to save anyone if the result could easily be a prison sentence. The thugs heard it loud and clear. They are laughing at you libs and the neutered police, bail, prosecution and sentencing systems that have quickly came about. All crime is up, murders and shootings are off the charts up. Predictably attacks on police are up. The left put a target on their back while cutting budgets.
