Just traded some messages with 2016 McCluer North (MO) offensive tackle Dennis Barber (6'8", 305 lbs). He has been talking with Cornell Ford and Glen Elarbee recently about joining Mizzou for the 2016 season. Barber signed with Missouri Western in February. He's not completely sure of the situation yet, but coach Ford mentioned to him the possibility of walking on in the fall semester and then he'd get put on scholarship for the winter semester. Barber said that likely wouldn't work for him. He'd need a scholarship immediately. We'll continue to follow the situation and post updates when they're available. Sounds like there is a lot up in the air still.
