By far the most complete game Missouri has played. Not even close. Ran away in the first half, then ran further away in the second half.
*Many wanted Blake Harris to start at the point. He responded with 11 points and 9 assists and 3-3 from the free throw line. He had one turnover. You got yourself a point guard.
*How about 16 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 turnover from your backup point? Thanks Jordan Geist.
*Harris/Geist combined: 27 points (8-13 FG), 13 assists, 10 rebounds, 2 turnovers in 47 minutes. Awful, awful good.
*Kassius Robertson still isn't shooting the ball that well, but I think it will come.
*For all the angst about him, Cullen VanLeer was 3-7 from deep with 11 points and 6 rebounds in 21 minutes. If he can give you three threes and a rebound every three and a half minutes he's on the floor, he has a role on this team. Period. Oh, by the way, he led the team in plus/minus for a second straight game at +31 in 21 minutes.
*15 points, 5 boards, 4 blocks, 1 foul from Jontay Porter? Yeah, that'll work.
*Jeremiah Tilmon didn't miss a shot and had nine points and three fouls in 15 minutes. Nice that he didn't have a full night's work considering you're playing two more games in the next three days.
*We won't know if it will continue (or if Long Beach is any good at all) for a while. But simply having a resolution to the MPJ stuff might be good for this team. They know who's on the team and who's not going to be and they don't have to answer any more questions about it. Maybe it frees them up a little bit.
*All in all, there's really nothing to complain about. Now we wait to see if they get St. John's or Oregon State.
