Normally save this for the end, but doing it now while post-game video uploads.
*Nothing inspiring about this game. They won. That's about it.
*You'll see it in the video, but Cuonzo was thoroughly unimpressed. Every time we asked about a player he told us what they didn't do well. I think about the most complimentary thing he said was "That's their role" about Puryear and Barnett scoring.
*It's kind of amazing after the last three years that we're talking about a 19 point win that makes you 7-2 and it's negative. But I think that's part of Martin's approach. Don't be happy with this. Sure you won, but you didn't play well. Maybe that was good enough when you were only winning nine games a year, but it ain't good enough now.
*The turnovers have to end. 17 against a team that doesn't put any pressure on you. They were bad turnovers. Just sloppy. It will work against this team and the next two or three Missouri plays. It won't work much after that.
*I don't know what the answer is at point guard. I think it's exactly what they're doing: Rotate, flip them in and out, find the guy that's playing the best on that night and hope you get enough out of him. Long term, Blake Harris is the best one. But he's not there yet. Still, he did get about 12 minutes in the second half, made a couple shots and some plays. If they can get him going where Cuonzo feels comfortable with him as a 25-30 minute a game point guard, I think it's a good thing. We'll see if they can do that.
*It's a win. You appreciate wins, especially if you've followed this program for any length of time. Coaches always say it's good to have things to work on after a win. Missouri has plenty to work on.
