If you didn't stay through the end of the game, you missed something new. We are "stay and sing the alma mater" people. In years past, the PA announcer goes through a dozen or so promotions and we die-hards wait seemingly forever to sing.
Last night was different. A few quick post-game announcements. Golden Girls and cheerleaders moved to right in front of the students (rather than end zone) and the team joined them. That's never happened, They all linked arms and sang the alma mater before the team went to the stands to thank the remaining students.
It's a tradition that other schools have created and I hope we continue to do it.
Also, Marching Mizzou is much bigger this year. Looking ready for the Thanksgiving Day parade in NYC. And we have four baton twirlers now and they twirled fire at half time.
