We have Coach Drink,

Personnel update: Chance Luper "encountered an illness" he will be out 6-8 weeks. Coach Luper did show up and coach. Chance was in line to start.

"What a difference a year makes," said Drink about the defense.

He hates the explosive plays that were given up but was really impressed with the D and the turnovers forced.

Says lack of execution and turnovers are correctable.

He said he saw LB3's talent coming he just didnt want to add to the hype basically.

Said Ty'Ron Hopper that he is a special player and that he diagnoses the plays well.

Said Cook was solid on the start and needs to work on some things but he thinks he played pretty well and handled checks well.

Tackling was good tonight especially for a team that wanted to get out in space. He thinks Carlies contact speed was great.

Thinks RB group created a lot on their own. He said RB group is a good problem to have.

He likes direct snapping to LB3 (duh)

Ennis Rakestraw rolled his ankle.

He joked and said that I have to ask Nate Peat's soft tissue injury to see if that is behind him. Clearly it is.

He said Jack Abraham looked good in limited reps.

Said that D-line played really well in the box but knows they'll be tested next week.

Said Lovett is a pretty good player and tried to get him going early. He thought the over route that led to a TD and that jet sweep play was good.

Said lack of execution in the red zone, third downs and turn

Want to run to the fight on both sides of the ball and make a play. He likes how the team especially the offense bounced back on both turnovers and scored the following possessions.

We got LB3 (this is a surprise).

Luther Burden said that he wanted to touch the endzone on the play where he broke those tackles to get a TD. Said he would rate the fan atmosphere as a 10.

Said he learned that the game is much faster than high school.

Said its an easy way to get the ball (so he likes it)

He said people are going to say whatever and he is just going to lock in to win. He said he was more excited than nervous.

He said there was no chance he was going to hand the ball off to Dominic on that second rushing TD.

He said Brady played good and did what they need to do to win the game.

Said the win gives confidence moving forward.

He wants to come down with those catches on the streak routes.

Brady Cook is next.

He thinks he did some good things but he knows there is some work to do.

He said he has been able to build chemistry with the whole offense and he's much more confident than he was in the Armed forces Bowl.

Said it's huge when the defense can help him out and that they helped put them in spots for success.

Said that the offensive line killed it tonight (more so in the run game I think that is what he means).

Said Chance Luper's situation is upsetting. That's his roommate and best friend (you can hear him get a little emotional understandably).

He said Connor Tollison did "a hell of a job" and that his snaps were on point.

He notes that he underthrew Burden on that early deep shot in the first half.

He said Lil Hop is the "real deal."

We got Joseph Charleston.

Said there was more work to do but that they had a really good day.

Said he went to game 1 wanting to prove that he can play well.

He said transfers looked at each other and knew they would be good additions to the team.

Said the defensive line's push helps him in the secondary.

Next is Ty'Ron Hopper.

Said for the INT he just read the quarterback's eyes and he threw it to him.

Said he has things to clean up.

He said he thinks he played well but that he can use some workaround everywhere.

Said he believes the defense started well but that they have things to clean up.
