1. Finally a complete game beginning to end against a P5 team.

2. The most impressive thing Brady did today was properly identify when to keep and when to hand off on the zone read. He hadn’t done that all year and he was able to do it at least 5 times tonight. Huge 3rd plays that would have ended drives in previous games.

3. Brady made some strong throws on deep balls hitting Dom in several big plays. In two of them Dom did not even need to move off his route. That had maybe only happened once or twice all year. He also was able to get rid of the ball quickly for the most part. But…..

4. Those were only when that was his first read. Again more times than you can count on one hand a receiver was wide open in the end zone or close enough to the Endzone they could have walked in and Brady couldn’t find them. This is a big problem. If he could just hit 50-75% we would only have one loss. Hey it can’t all be positive,

5. This defense is elite in every facet of the game. USCe are not world beaters but they look like some flaccid cocks. Repeatedly punishing Rattler. Pash Rush, Run Defense, Pass Defense there is no weakness. Almost everyone has the extra Covid year left and we should be doing NIL fund raising to keep all of them. I don’t think any of them are top 2 round NFL draftees except maybe Hopper. So sell them in the notion of more guaranteed money for staying college and having a respectable offense to back them up.

6. This was Drink’s best coached game this year, maybe in his tenure. He finally did go into his shell when winning in the 2nd half. He did go ground and pound but only after it made sense to do so. Prior to that they utilized the forward pass. He only had two unblocked swing/screen passes. Unfortunately one was in the 2nd play of the game and probably made everyone say great here we go again. But the pass plays protected Brady and generally shrunk the field.

7. I am not saying this to insult the kid but Mevis is struggling because he is over weight. He just doesn’t have the flexibility needed. On the long kicks he doesn’t need to turn it as much but on the short ones he is struggling with rotation. Hopefully SC program can get him more fit. He seemed like a sure fire NFL kicker but they don’t put up with guys that can’t make 29 yard field goals.

8. Dom is hurt and still is elite Dominating the defense. If he had a better QB throwing to him you could be looking at DX type numbers. Can you imagine if he was 100%.

Man it feels good to finally get a road win and versus a top 25 team (probably not deserving of the ranking). If they play like this Kentucky is going down.
