(I know it has been talked about here, but I thought it worthy of bringing up again.)
On our call Tuesday, we asked Gabe about the story in the current Mizzou alumni magazine (page 13). As is his style, Gabe downplayed his part in the story, saying he was just a sportswriter who didn’t even know what an ‘endowed scholarship’ was when Howard Richards mentioned it. But don’t let Gabe’s demeanor fool you. He put his money where his mouth is and raised $53,535.09 for the PowerMizzou Journalism Alumni Scholarship.
