We all know Mizzou's Defense will be awesome in 2016, all the Sports Mags agree. The Pre-Season Mags agree too that Mizzou's Offense has a lot to prove. Nothing new there, we know Mizzou's offense was non-existant in 2015. But one of the quotes from the ESPN Mag concerning Drew Lock's inability to throw into tight coverage and read coverages. Here is the quote:
ESPN spoke to an anonymous coach who explained how teams can beat quarterback Drew Lock: “Have corners who can play press and take away all the short throws. That will force Lock to make throws where he actually has to sit there and read coverages and throw in tight windows, which is where he struggles.”
I was very critical of DL last year, but the WR's have to get separation on Good corners which are abundant in this league. OL needs to show up too, but no excuses, DL needs a high completion % from game 1 to make this season significant.
