Going to set the scene here for everything that has happened since the last signing day and that we expect to happen tomorrow.
Scott is already in class at Mizzou.
Here are players who have committed since December 22 who will sign with Mizzou tomorrow:
Then we have two players who have been committed to Mizzou for a while but did not sign in December:
Hansford will be announced by Mizzou tomorrow. How confident am I? If I'm wrong, @Herbs1985 and @Numbahs get to take over, alternating days as site moderator for a week.
Believe Wheat will go the juco detour route. Do not see him signing with Mizzou tomorrow.
Here are the three we're waiting to see what they'll do tomorrow:
Badie will announce at 9:45 at his school tomorrow morning. @Sean_Williams will be there for us. We fully expect him to sign with Missouri.
Delgado visited last weekend. The feeling is that he'll commit and sign with Missouri. Not sure on an announcement time at this point.
As I posted last night, we now expect Thompson to sign with Oklahoma. A last second change of heart isn't impossible, but word we're getting is that everyone expects him to be a Sooner. Ronnie Perkins and the time at the Army All-American game in San Antonio seem to be what swayed this decision according to those we've talked to.
Assuming we are right on all of the above projections, that gives Mizzou a class of 25 on Wednesday. Approximately three spots would remain and we think those will be held for post signing day activity.
Chief among that is Oregon grad transfer safety Khalil Oliver. Oliver visited last weekend and is also considering Kentucky and Boise State (he's a Boise native). Sean talked briefly to him last night and is going to do a full interview later this week. Oliver is currently in the midst of midterms and wanted to wait until after those tests. Missouri has an excellent shot here, obviously, and a need at safety.
That would leave two spots. I foresee some more transfer/grad transfer activity in this class, but it won't shake out for a while. After signing day is over, we'll update the scholarship chart to get you guys all caught up on exactly where things stand.
@mitchell4d and I are covering the Mizzou press conference at 1030 tomorrow morning. Sean is covering Badie's announcement and trying to track down all the recent/expected commitments for interviews and stories. We'll keep you up to date on everything that happens during the day.
