Despite losing All-SEC tackle Mitch Morse to the NFL (second-round draft pick by Kansas City), Mizzou looks to be in great shape up front as they look to pave and protect the way for another potent offensive attack. Back for his fourth year as a starter is senior C Evan Boehm, who has started all 40 games in his Tiger career. Boehm will be an honors candidate undoubtedly and is one of the top leaders on the team. He’ll team with senior LT Connor McGovern (28 career starts) and senior LG Taylor Chappell (10 starts in 2014) to provide the nucleus for the line, while senior Mitch Hall at right guard (5 starts in 2014) and sophomore RT Nate Crawford hold down the other starting positions heading into fall camp. Senior utility man Brad McNulty, who has 13 career starts under his belt at several different positions on the line, provides quality depth, and there will be several youngsters with a chance to work their way into the depth. Among those include sophomore RT Clay Rhodes, redshirt freshman RG Kevin Pendleton, redshirt freshman LG Andy Bauer, sophomore C Alec Abeln, redshirt freshman LT Paul Adams and junior college transfer LT Malik Cuellar.

I believe most fans going into last year really felt the line would be a strength. Let's hope all the fear is for not this year. Looking back I am still a little befuddled as to how that line performed so poorly last year as many were starters or had game experience from the previous successful year. IF the stats above are correct they had 96 returning starts. Makes one want to scratch their head in disbelief of the poor performance last year.
