A UT fan on twitter was arguing for their schools greatness and importance based on the revenue and profit they generate. UT is at the top of the pack for both. But the argument being laid out there is on straight revenue, not of the efficient or effective use of the dollars earned or spent.

I don't have time to do the math, but it would be interesting to see a comparison of dollars earned and spent in relation to the number of victories achieved. Kind of like the cost per ounce you would find on the grocery store tag. No weight for championships etc... those come with winning.... At just a brief glance, I think UT, aTm, LSU and Arkansas are overpaying for their product. And while Mizzou is nearly at the bottom, it seems to me we are getting good use out of each dollar brought in and spent.

Would love to get some insight from those in the know, or those with the time to do the math.
