When it comes to Mizzou football, I tend to see through rose-colored glasses (in the betting my circle of friends had this summer, I predicted 8-4), so I am asking for the opinion of others (reality check) on what I see as one of the most outstanding achievements of Drink and his staff, the program culture and team chemistry that has been built. Evidence I see:
- Commits talking about the family atmosphere
- Individual players talking about team over themselves
- The number of upper classmen that chose to come back for another year (e.g., DRob)
- Resilience after falling behind multiple times vs KSU, and after falling behind big vs Wildcats on the road in a sold-out stadium
- Coaches and players apparently talking from the same page (e.g., keep improving).
- Discipline to stay above the fray when things get chippy (not doing what Kentucky was doing). Love how DRob was talking about a young guy like Johnny Walker Jr. needing to learn a lesson from what happened vs LSU.
