SCAR defers.MIZ receives in first half.

Starters for offense
OL: Javon Foster, Xavier Delgado, Connor Tollison, EJ Ndoma-Ogar, Connor Wood
TE: N/A
WR: Luther Burden III, Mekhi Miller, Dominic Lovett
RB: Taj Butts, Cody Schrader
QB: Brady Cook

Starters for defense
DL: Isaiah McGuire, Jayden Jernigan, Kristian Williams, Trajan Jeffcoat
LB: Ty'Ron "Lil Hop" Hopper, Chad Bailey
DB: Ennis Rakestraw, Martez Manuel, Jaylon Carlies, Joseph Charleston, Kris Abrams-Draine

First Series for offense: Mmmm back to not scoring on the first possession. A quick three and out but at least Schrader didn’t get a TFL.
First Series for defense: Watch out for TE Austin Stogner. Isaiah McGuire with a nice TFL and then Joe Charleston with a safety blitz. McGuire has been the best defensive lineman the last three games. I want to say that’s at least three straight games with a TFL for him.

Second Series for offense: Schrader just hits the hole and goes. No dancing just straight through for 9 yards. Luther Burden on a toss-crack play. I like that. Do more of that. Elijah Young with a 10-yard carry. False start on Connor Wood for I believe his seventh penalty of the year (team-high). Cook with 8-yard rush for a first down but he has to slide. Nice play action play to Bannister for a gain of 21. A lot of variation on this drive. This has to be the most diverse drive in some time from this offense. Burden breaking tackles again for a gain of 11 on third down. Yards after contact is his thing. Brady Cook with the QB keeper for the TD. 15 plays-96 yard drive. One of the Tigers' most efficient of the season. Three first downs on that drive on third down plays.

MIZ 7, SCAR 0

Sean Koetting kicks a screwball out of bounds on the kickoff. SCAR gets ball on 35.

Second Series for defense: Ennis Rakestraw with a big TFL. He’s been so good lately or really all season. DJ Coleman with the sack (he got credited with it) but Jeffcoat cleaned it up. Probably should be a half-sack for each player. Nonetheless, that means three straight games with a .5 sack or better for the former Jacksonville State product in Coleman.

Third Series for offense: Schrader continues to get the “dirty yards” which are those three or four-yard runs.

End of 1st: MIZ 7, SCAR 0
