Third series for offense (cont.): Schrader with the first TD of the season for Mizzou from 5 yards out. I figured it would take the first quarter for them to figure it out. Now, the defense looks like they got it. The offense took some time but that's okay.

Fourth series for defense: Another tip passed leads to a Joe Charleston INT returned for a pick-six. That’s Mizzou’s first pick-six in an opener since 2012. Man, I’ve been saying all week that this defense is more aggressive, and all three levels of the D are making plays.

Fifth series for defense: Jeffcoat gingerly limping off the field on a play where he got roughing the passer. He’s been playing well. But another INT this time by Ty’Ron (Lil Hop) Hopper. This is their third of the first half. Lil Hop has been everywhere. And this is one play after Carlies made a pretty violent tackle in the flat.

Fifth series for offense: LB3 saved Brady Cook from throwing a pick-six by just ripping it away from the defender. It was a great drive until Stephens got popped for a fumble…not how you want your first touch to go.

Sixth series for the defense: Nothing is getting behind this defense (which is the plan) everything underneath or just simply making plays and not allowing anything. They are making the Mizzou offense’s life a breeze. Can’t fumble obviously but when the defense is playing like that… the offense doesn’t have to feel like they have to score a TD every possession like last season.

Sixth series for the offense: RBs (Peat and Schrader) led the way for this series. But Luther Burden took a five-yard run and broke three tackles for the score… have to remind yourself it’s LA Tech but nonetheless it’s impressive.
Seventh series for the defense: Nothing will humble you like a one-play TD. Downing splits three safeties and gets it to his WR for a 75-yard touchdown. Jelani Williams took a bit of a bad angle.

Seventh series for the offense: It stalled out. But LB3 almost snagged a one-hand catch.

Eighth series for the defense: Their contain on the outside is one of the most impressive things today. Part of it is LA Tech is not fast enough to go side to side but Mizzou's defense is doing its job. Then finished the series with a coverage sack and a punt. Again, Lil Hop (#8) has been everywhere. At this moment 5 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 sack, 1 INT.

Eighth series for the offense: A turnover on downs. LA Tech guarded the trick play well, but it was just a solid defensive possession for the Bulldogs.

Ninth series for the defense: KAD gave up a first down on an underneath route but all-in-all he has played well on the outside. He almost had a pick on a streak route.

Ninth series for the offense: Tauskie Dove with a couple catches back-to-back including a nice full extension catch.

LA Tech 10, Mizzou 24
