Fourth series for offense (continued): Cook out there again to start the second quarter. A bit of a surprise. Cook goes 11-11 for 87 yards before a drop by Wease. That’s on Wease not Cook. Mevis misses a 48-yard field goal. We’ve seen all of camp that they don’t block well on their kicks. It looked like someone got a good jump on the ball. SD 0, MIZ 14

Fourth series for defense: Joe Moore sighting on second down. South Dakota gains their first first down of the day on an eight-yard run by Travis Theis.

Then, on the next play, Charleston gets mossed on like an in-route or post-route (I didn't see the full play). It was an incredible catch and collision. South Dakota is moving this ball and now has four first downs on this drive after having none to start the game.

South Dakota almost had a walk-in touchdown if the wide receiver didn't run out of bounds. He was wide-open along the sideline. Abrams-Draine gets called for a holding inside the red zone. The ball is on the six-yard line.

A heavy package with five defensive tackles (including Robinson). Chuck Hicks got a tackle for loss on what looked like a facemask, but he got away with it. The coyotes try an RB pass on the next play and the running back fumbles it but they recover. That was an ugly play. The coyotes were on the six after the timeout and got backed up to the 22.

South Dakota nails a 40-yard touchdown. SD 3, MIZ 14

Fifth series for offense: Cook is still out there. Interesting. His first throw was a corner route intended for Burden that he overthrew. Tyler Stephens with a four-yard catch for the first down. Only 10 more catches to eclipse the season total for the tight ends from a year ago.

The offense is feeling a little stagnant like last year at times. They'd get out in a groove (like they did versus Vandy) and now they're kind of struggling a little to move the ball. Two penalties on this drive for the Tigers.

So, first and 22 and the Tigers do a wide receiver screen to Burden for a loss. On the next play, Burden catches a pass over the middle and he gets hit helmet to helmet. But he's okay. Vicious hit.

Schrader with another first down. He's up to six carries for 54 yards.

A few plays later he gets in the end zone from two yards out. PAT is good.

Schrader has 11 carries for 75 yards and a touchdown.

One of my bold predictions was four rushing touchdowns and the Tigers are halfway there.

SD 3, MIZ 21

Fifth series for defense: Tigers looking for a stop and then to get the ball back, so they can get a two-minute drill in.
They get the stop and now they have 82 yards to go.

Sixth series for offense: Cook starts the series with a high throw to Peat who hauled in the pass and took it for a first down. All of Cook's passes are pretty short. As soon as I say that, Cook hits Burden for 30 yards up the sideline.

Cook gets sacked and it came from the right side of the line between Johnson and Membou.

Cook hits Peat in the flat for a gain of 19.

Cook with a 15-yard touchdown run after he put a heck of a move on the linebacker. SD 3, MIZ 28

Sixth series for defense: This defense has played as well as it could possibly be save for one drive. Even on that drive they bounced back and forced a field goal. South Dakota hs 62 total yards entering halftime.

End of third quarter: SD 3, MIZ 28
