-That was a much better effort out of Mizzou in the second half. They didn't force as many turnovers, but did hold A&M to a lower field goal percentage. I felt like how they played on defense helped them get back into the game.
-Shots started falling again, too, which helped. I think the team kind of realized they weren't going to get calls inside and so they just started setting up as many open 3s as they could. It worked out pretty well.
-A&M did a better job on the offensive glass, though, which really sealed Missouri's fate. There were a bunch of possessions where the team played lights out defense and let the Aggies get another crack at it. It's tough to climb back when that happens.
-I think this was Nick Honor's worst game. A&M seems like a particularly bad matchup for a 5-10 point guard. But Honor had relatively little-to-no impact for Mizzou. It's the first time he's been held scoreless all season. They could've really used another bucket or two from him.
-Mo Diarra made a couple of really good plays, but he also gave up some looks around the rim A&M shouldn't have gotten. Mizzou is having a tough time getting anything out of their bigs outside of Kobe. Ronnie DeGray might not have been the answer for this game, but he at least would've been another option to try if he was healthy. Diarra did alright on the boards, but he's not much of a threat on offense, which left Mizzou playing a lot of 5 on 4. Noah Carter hasn't been good lately and Aidan Shaw isn't ready. I'm not sure what the right move is for them here.
-The Tennessee game gave Mizzou a cushion to lose some of these last few games and still be ok. That cushion is fading fast, though. A loss to MSU wouldn't knock them out of the tournament, but it would put a little more pressure on the last three games of the season.
