-That first win against Tennessee was not a fluke. This team is not a fluke.
-The second half reminded me so much of how the last game went down. The refs got tighter with the whistle, especially when it came to Mizzou. Tyreke Key started hitting a bunch of 3s. And the game went down to the wire again.
-The 3-point shooting regressed to the mean for Mizzou, which helped significantly in getting the offense jumpstarted again. It could've been really bad when they let Tennessee go up by eight to start the second half. The 3s falling helped them get back in it. It also helped that they stopped missing their free throws.
-The defense wasn't as good, though part of it was the way the refs were using their whistle. The Tigers couldn't be as aggressive chasing after steals in the first half without risking getting a foul call on them. Tennessee was able to keep shooting it at a high clip without the risk of giving up a steal.
-Nick Honor had a pretty slow first half but made some awfully timely baskets in the second. Can't ever count him out. Those deep 3s don't always seem like good shots when he pulls them, but man do they hit hard when he connects.
-Tennessee may not have had all that many turnovers in the second half, but they had their most costly one with just under two minutes left. D'Moi Hodge has to be infuriating to play against.
-Like we've been saying, this game was never going to hurt Mizzou. Tennessee is going to be a 4 seed in the NCAA tournament. A win over them definitely helps, though. I will be shocked if there's a single bracket projection that has them as a 9 seed. I think this win *should* solidify them as a 6 or 7.
