Let’s start with the best tweet I saw on Saturday.

And what a sight that stadium was — a sea of gold on a spectacular fall afternoon. Kudos to those of you who were in the house. I’ve been saying it for years: a packed Faurot makes an impression on recruits. And if memory serves me right, there were some big-time recruits in the house.

Good teams take care of business in games like this. And this is a good team. The good news is that we haven’t seen this team’s best 60 minutes. That said, that was the best half of football this team has played. They were one dumb penalty from being up 27-0 or 31-0 at the half.

Shoutout to Mookie Cooper. Things didn’t go as planned last year, but the kid kept working. Look at him now.

What a pickup Wease has been. A lot of players don’t turn that third-and-10 tunnel screen into a first down. A huge play early in the game. And Luther is drawing so much attention that it is opening things up for others. Time to get the tight end involved again.

Best tackling of the season.

Chuck Hicks seemed to be all over the field.

No, they were never gonna lose this game, but nice to see Mevis drill that 51-yarder. Stretched it back to a three-score game.

We can retire the notion that Cody Schrader isn’t an SEC back. Just wish they get more backs a little work. Eight games in, yet he and Peat are the only RBs with carries.

I said before the season that it didn’t matter who played QB if the o-line didn’t improve. Good to see them line up and blow SC off the ball. Grown-man football, as Sheldon Richardson liked to say.

Hell of a third-down throw from Cook to Burden that set up the last TD.

Shane Beamer … LOL. I love how he takes responsibility, then quickly deflects by saying they had three perfect plays called at the goal line. Wish somebody had asked how the foot was feeling.

The first playoff rankings will be revealed this week, and the good guys will be comfortably inside the top 25. Who saw that coming in September?

Somebody is gonna end that Georgia streak. Why not us? Why stop now?
