We’ve had this discussion in bits and pieces throughout the year. I’m curious to see how everyone ranks Mizzou’s players based on a mixture of both talent and performance this year.

Here’s my ranking with tiers:

Tier 1:
1: Kobe Brown
2: D’Moi Hodge
-These are your stars. Brown we’ve known about for awhile. What a beast and he looks way more comfortable in Gates system now. Hodge? Man, this kid is a fun player to watch. Crazy fast, strong scorer, and very confident.

Tier 2:
3: Nick Honor
4: Noah Carter
-These guys are your calming presence who can do a lot of things very well. Honor is Mr. Reliable. He can go off for 15 points from time to time but more importantly he will protect the ball, play D, and command the offense. Carter is your Swiss Army knife who can put up 15-20 points if you ask him to or focus on shutting down forwards.

Tier 3:
5: Dre Gholston
6: Sean East
7: Tre Gomillion
-Gholston has been a very pleasant surprise and he has really taken off offensively these last 3 games vs tourney teams. We all know East has high potential but lacks consistency. Gomillion is the heart and soul guy on this team. Tough group to rank.

Tier 4:
8: Aidan Shaw
9: Ronnie Degray
-Shaw is working his way into the rotation as a true freshman very nicely. I expect him to rise to top 3-4 on this list in the next year or two. Huge potential. Degray has improved a TON from last year and is a strong player but still lacking offensively. That’s ok.

Not rated: Isiaih Mosley, but I guess I’d put him 3rd based mostly on raw talent rather than performance.
