It seems like every year the refs blow their whistle's as much as they possibly can until after Christmas break and then conference play starts and it always gets better (not perfect or even good, but better). Am I the only one that thinks that? If not what would be the cause? Surely it doesn't take that long to "get used to the refs this year". Are the refs told to do it differently for conference play?
