1. Arkansas 3/3
2. Texas A&M 2/13
3. MSU 2/10
4. @ Ole Miss 2/20
5. Ole Miss 2/6
6. @ Vanderbilt 2/27
7. @ LSU 2/17
8. @ Kentucky 2/24
Home games are far more important than away games. We must hold serve, then hope to steal one or two on the road down the stretch.
If we go undefeated at home the rest of the way, we are guaranteed to finish at .500 in the league. Then if you can pick off Ole Miss, Vandy and/or LSU on the road, you start putting yourself in the position to have a double bye in the SEC or make the tourney.
Kentucky is the only remaining game that losing means nothing. Sure, a win at Kentucky would be fantastic, but losing it is what’s expected. The two toughest home games remaining are the two most important games. After that, MSU and Ole Miss at home are obviously must wins. Out of the away games, I put Ole Miss as the most winnable and therefore the most important road contest remaining. With this schedule remaining, we should finish 9-9 at worst, with a great shot at 10-8 or 11-7.
