Remember when some of us got a little cocky this past summer when thinking about local recruits after the Alabama and Texas crew jumped on board? I distinctively remember plenty of posts about “they better commit early or we might not hold a spot!” in regards to local guys. We also left other local recruits (such as Dallas Craddieth) out to dry without attention or an offer. I have to admit, I was guilty of this as much as anyone. I got legit excited and thought his ship might get turned around...but no more. No more Gump Gang, no more Tiger 10, no more momentum anywhere within this program. Recruiting is now officially another sign of times that change is needed (I know it doesn’t factor into Sterks decision, but it’s just a cherry on top at this point).
It didn’t necessarily deserve a thread but I’m a hypocrite and good lord its frustrating watching the demise of our once proud program...yeah this is different in many ways, but I still have that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach just as I did with the KA tenure
