This was supposed to go up earlier but for some reason the draft we had last night didn't go up.

Anyway, here's our report card from Missouri's 42-7 loss to LSU.

Quarterbacks:
Drew Lock
passed for about 167 yards and his only pick was a bad one. His receivers didn't do much for him but he caught Missouri's only touchdown of the night and made some throws he shouldn't have.
FINAL GRADE: D

Running backs:

Both Ish Witter and Damarea Crockett had forgettable games, rushing for less than 50 yards apiece. I thought Witter looked slightly better than Crockett but neither did that much. FINAL GRADE: D+

Wide receivers:

Missouri's leading receiver was Johnathan Johnson and he only had 35 yards. None of Missouri's wideouts really extended any plays after the catch and the only thing J'Mon Moore did was help start a fight.
FINAL GRADE: F

Offensive line:
The running game was awful, Lock got sacked twice, which isn't bad compared to last year but clearly they struggled compared to previous games. FINAL GRADE: D

Tight ends:
Sean Culkin
was one of Missouri's best players on Saturday, finishing with a team-best 42 yards receiving. He looked good on some blocking plays as well. He was tie only tight end to really show me anything.
FINAL GRADE: C

Defensive line: Charles Harris
got half a sack and aside from a few plays where the d-line came close to a few sacks the unit was pretty nonexistent for most of the night. FINAL GRADE: D+

Linebackers: Donavin Newson
dropped what would have been a great interception and momentum play for Missouri early in the game. Brandon Lee got tossed for targeting. Between the linebackers and the secondary there were plenty of missed tackles. And obviously everyone was guilty of that. FINAL GRADE: F

Secondary: Thomas Wilson
cleaned up a lot of plays but he also had his own fair share of mistakes. Aarion Penton didn't start the game after what Barry Odom made sound like a bad week of practice. Anthony Sherrils didn't make much of an impact. FINAL GRADE: D+

Special Teams: Tucker McCann
made the only extra point that was asked of him on Saturday and Corey Fatony had a few good punts as usual. Kick return and punt return were nonexistent and Chris Black got away with what I thought was a muffed punt that would've given LSU the ball right back. FINAL GRADE: F

Coaching:
Missouri was a longshot to win this game but it still could have put up a better fight than this. The offense's only touchdown came on a trick play and the defense had some opportunities to make big plays and did nothing with them. And most of Missouri's problems in the first half were the same in the second half. FINAL GRADE: F
