In his recap of Mack Rhoades press conference, Dave Matter of the Post-Dispatch states that Rhoades may not be on-board with a football only complex going up in the South Endzone . Apparently Rhoades has concerns about isolating the football players from the rest of the student athlete population... Rhoades believes that interaction between all the student athletes has value. Finally, Rhoades says that Mizzou will take a look at what other schools have done in similar projects and proposed expansion will soon become a priority for him but the project has not gone beyond the discussion stage. Matter's article also indicates that Rhoades is not in favor of expanding Faurot but would be in favor of adding additional premium seating that would generate more revenue without greatly increasing overall capacity. So to me it sounds like Rhoades may want to put luxury in the South Endzone but not the football only complex HCGP wants. Unless Rhoades is trying to establish his position out the outset of his tenure, it seems risky to get in a pissing match with HCGP over something that HCGP wants and what many other SEC schools already have.
