“As we begin this search process, we are excited for the opportunity to identify an outstanding leader for the Mizzou Baseball program. The SEC is widely recognized as the toughest baseball conference in the country which poses a tremendous challenge, but one we are not going to back down from. Our vision is to compete for conference championships and be nationally relevant in all sports. Baseball is no exception.
The early feedback and interest in our job has been extremely encouraging. At this point we are in the process of identifying and narrowing our list of candidates to those we will visit with in person. We are not focused on any one candidate. As with any search, finding the right fit for Mizzou will be a critical component of our process. I believe we are poised to take Mizzou Baseball to the next level and I’m confident we will find a great head coach to lead our program forward.
