When Missouri sent three staffers to see Caden Harris in January, the Tigers began a late run with a blossoming cornerback prospect. Harris, a three-star at the time, recently picked up his fourth star at the Under Armour Camp in Nashville, Tenn.
The Class of 2026 defensive back displayed why more top Power Four programs began to pull for trips this summer, including Missouri, the school that bumped out Alabama for an official visit June 20-22.
"Anytime the head coach comes down to see you, it's pretty big for it," Harris said.
Head coach Eli Drinkwitz, cornerbacks coach Al Pogue and wide receivers coach Jacob Peeler all visited Harris on Jan. 27 at Brownsville (Tenn.) Haywood during the NCAA Contact Period.
"He's just been a very real person with me," Harris said of Pogue. "Since the time we got on the phone or first communicated, he's been nothing but very straightforward and a very true guy up to this point."
Pogue told Harris that he checked off all the typical things he wanted in a cornerback. Harris, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound defensive back, displayed range and fluidity in his ability to run, move and open his hips during his junior season.
"I'm really still learning a lot about Missouri," Harris said, "but I for sure like that I can potentially come in and have a shot at playing early."
As a two-way player, Harris totaled 30 tackles, one interception and 782 all-purpose yards this past season. In the Rivals.com update Monday, Harris joined the Rivals250 at No. 131 in the 2026 class while moving up to No. 5 in Tennessee and No. 12 at his position.
With a commitment date set for July 4, Harris' official visit to Missouri will mark his first trip to see the Tigers in person. He will also officially visit Vanderbilt (May 30), Notre Dame (June 3), Georgia (June 6) and Auburn (June 13).
"I'm really looking forward to seeing how everything is structured there, how the culture is there," Harris said about Missouri. "With this being my first visit, it'll be a lot of new faces, a lot of new guys around, of course, and then I'll be able to see and get around the city some and get a feel for it."
