It’s painfully obvious now that Robinson can’t competently run the offense in the open field. However, Baze’s lack of running ability, and Drinkwitz’s shift away from running the read option with him at QB, makes the offense pretty one dimensional in the red zone.
Since 10 yards seems to be about the maximum distance Robinson can throw, I wonder if we see him injected in goal to go situations. The change of pace might be just what we need to finish off all the good work Connor does in the open field.
