I typically do not like SDS, but they had an article on football talent and exceeding those expectations. I believe these rankings are based on the 247 composite from the recruiting class and roster. We were 50th, and 13th in the SEC.
Just shows the trajectory we were going, the job that Drink did this year, and hopefully we can put together a couple classes to get us into the top 30 conversation. I believe that's where we would have been for the division championship years, especially 2013.
Let's compare the 2016-2019 rosters:
2016: 38th, 13th
2017: 42nd, 13th
2018: 42nd, 13th
2019: 40th, 13th
The rankings don't go back to the 2013 or 2014 teams, but 2015 was 34th, and 12th.
6 teams that dramatically outperformed their roster talent in 2020
Signing Day is Wednesday, but these teams proved recruiting rankings don't tell the whole story.
