I’ve been hoping for a mainstream heartland rock revival for a while, and I think this guy might be the one to lead it. Played a killer set at Glastonbury a few weeks ago and will headline a show with 40,000 in London next week. He’s like a millennial, English Springsteen with a little Joni Mitchell flair and The Killers’ Brandon Flowers vocals sprinkled in here and there.
My hope (more than a prediction) is everyone know his name in a few years. And obviously, nothing’s more culturally relevant and influential than the PowerMizzou OT, so…
