As always, my full ten thoughts will be ready to go in the morning, but here are some quick thoughts from my view:

*I feel like it's my job to tell you guys it's never as bad as you think and never as good as you think. When a new coach is hired, that usually means being viewed as the wet blanket. The new coach always gets a honeymoon where everything he does is right and everything the old guy did was wrong. So I often get viewed as the guy that doesn't like the new coach because I try to keep you a little grounded. Well, let me say, you guys have yourself a damn good football coach. He'll make mistakes (he made some today). There will be times where we wonder what he's doing and probably times where we wonder if he's the right guy. But he's a damn good football coach. He beat a ranked team and the defending national champs and then he followed it up by beating a team that had haunted Missouri for five straight years. Today might have been more impressive than the LSU win to me. If you're not impressed with Eli Drinkwitz right now, you simply aren't paying attention.

*Missouri won a game 44-41 and then the next week won a game 20-10. It won by gaining 600 yards and by giving up 145. That's damn impressive.

*If he can keep Jalen Knox and Tyler Badie for another year each (and I don't see any reason to think otherwise) those guys have a chance to be special.

*Kudos to Damon Hazelton. The coach sent a message with the depth chart this week. Hazelton received it. He could have pouted and sulked. He didn't. He came out and led the team in receptions.

*Team MVP so far: Marcus Johnson.

*Message board MVP so far: @BoatDan99

*True freshman Dylan Spencer came in the game on the offensive line and I never even noticed he was there. That's a good thing. Means he probably played pretty well.

*As someone in our chat today said "Missouri out Kentuckyed Kentucky." Best way to put it. The Tigers beat them at their own game.

*I don't know for sure yet if I'll pick Mizzou to beat Florida. But I might. And that's not something I would have considered three weeks ago. The goal now is clearly a .500 season or better. It's very attainable.

I'll go much more in depth with the article tomorrow morning and have some leftover stuff Monday. Mitch has plenty more on the way from the stadium. Enjoy your night and at some point, you can catch more of my thoughts and those of some of your fellow fans by watching the postgame show
