I'll preface this by saying that in no way shape or form has Dooley done a good job this season. But, how do you justify a 3rd OC in 5 years to your boss? This is only Dooley's second year, he's had mixed results from last year to the beginning of this year, the play calling has been suspect (often with the blessing of Odom) at times I'll admit, but going into a potentially pivotal 5th year, do you really think Odom is going to trust the offense and his career to a newcomer?
Next year Mizzou will replace their QB, 2 best WRs, TE, and 2 best OL. Offensive regression(if possible), might be real whether there is a new coach or not. Does bringing in potentially a new system that the team has to learn in the off-season going to set them up for success or failure? I could see a smaller move, maybe position coaches, specifically at OL and WR, but I just can't see Odom getting rid of Dooley, their fates are tied together at this point.
