This is from talking to a few people around the program. Nothing extremely specific, but wanted to pass these along...
-- Told the offense once again looked great, and the defense struggled a bit. After the first scrimmage, we were told the offense scored more touchdowns (5) than they did all of last spring; apparently the offense looked just as good on the Thursday before spring break.
-- Specific players who I was told stood out: Aarion Penton, Michael Scherer ("As always," a source said), and both Justin Smith and Emanuel Hall. Each of those last two had a touchdown catch.
-- Hall's TD came on a long pass from Jack Lowary.
-- I asked about Drew Lock, and how he's doing. I was told he's looking like "the real deal."
