Will provide updates in this post as we go.
*Players we see in red: Andrew Baggett, Nick Coffman, J'Mon Moore, Jonathan Johnson. Rodrick Winters. Appears everyone else will scrimmage that we can see.
*Cam Hilton lining up second string behind Anthony Sherrills at one safety spot. Terry Beckner Jr. lined up second at DT. Everything else appears to be what you already know.
*Top kick return unit features Cam Hilton which is a great indicator he's going to play. Top coverage unit appears to feature Terez Hall, which indicates he's likely to see the field.
*Scrimmage is underway. We're trying to keep track of snaps, stats and plays, so will update as best we can
*Mauk with a 15 yard scramble for a first down on his first series
*Chappell and Crawford started with with 1s at LG and RT respectively. 2nd team was McNulty at LG, Cuellar at RT, Paul Adams at LT
*Corey Fatony is the first to punt, which is expected
*Grant Jones throws Ryan Williams for a two yard loss and a safety in 3s vs 3s
*Nice 10-12 yard run by Hansbrough called back on a hold. Pinkel wanted to clean up the penalties from the first scrimmage.
*First first down for the 1s comes on the third series on a pass from Mauk to Leftwich. Next pass is about three yards behind DeSean Blair.
3O vs 3D now. Marquise Doherty with an 11 yard run.
The defensive line got the best of that series. Lock tried to pass three times, really didn't have time on any of them. Completed one, shovel pass on another, sack on another.
*Zanders turn at QB with the threes now (tough to tell between the threes and fours, but that's what we think).
*Ryan Williams hit in the backfield by three guys at the same time. Safe to say the third string DL is ahead of the third string OL right now.
*Emanuel Hall getting reps with the twos at WR
*Now on the two offense Brad McNulty is at center with Alec Abeln at left guard
*Andy Bauer is out there, playing left guard with I think the 3s
*Marvin Zanders with a great keep on the zone read and he runs for 25 yards. Later in the drive, Zanders scrambles for 32.
*Nice drive led by Mauk capped by a 10-yard TD pass to a wide open Nate Brown. Logan Cheadle burned on a pump fake by Mauk.
*Marvin Zanders with a great shoulder fake, hits a wide open Thomas Richard for 30 yards down the middle. Pretty obvious to all of us so far today that Zanders has been the most impressive QB, though Mauk had a nice drive on his last series.
*Zanders with the twos here, Clay Rhodes at RT, Chappell at LG, Abeln at center.
*Lock now getting snaps with the 2s vs the 1 defense. Donavan Newsom has lined up at about 4325 different spots so far. He's moving all over the field.
*Lock to Justin Smith for 49 yards. Either John Gibson or Aarion Penton ran the wrong coverage there. One was in man, one was in zone.
*Next play a ten yard TD pass from Drew Lock to Ray Wingo.
*Lock 4-4 for 64 yards and a TD on that series
*Corbin Berkstresser to Jake Brents for a 55 yard touchdown in Berk's first series of the day.
*Ish Witter caps the No. 1 offense's red zone series with a one yard TD run
*No. 2 offense's red zone drive loses four yards, Luke Jackson with a 41 yard field goal despite being just absolutely run over by Penton. Would clearly have been a roughing penalty in a game.
*One of the better plays of the day, Drew Lock rolling left, turns his body, throws back the other way for 22 yards to an unidentified walk on down to the two yard line (3O vs 3D)
*Marquise Doherty scores on the next play.
*Mauk running the two minute drill effectively, should have had a 43 yard TD there, but DeSean Blair stumbled at the 5. First and goal now.
*Ish Witter scores from two yards out as the offense scores a TD with 18 seconds left. 65 yards in 7 plays and 1:32
*Lock converts 4th and 4 in the two minute drill to move to the opposing 41 against the No. 3 defense. Kendall Blanton on the 17 yard catch.
Nice play by TJ Warren to break up a pass inside the ten by Lock intended for Wingo.
Lock to Blanton again for a first down at the 14.
Lock finishes the drive with a 14-yard TD throw on the run to No. 19 (not on the roster) who is absolutely destroyed by Ronnell Perkins, but hangs on to the ball and draws the targeting flag.
David Morrison has Drew Lock 16-21 for 169 and two TDs
*Printz starts the two minute drill with a 52 yard heave to Emanuel Hall against the one defense.
*Then Printz to Thomas Richard for the 13-yard TD. Two offense goes 65 yards in 2 plays, 27 seconds for the TD
Last play clinches a 11-9 offense win. Going down for postgame.
