Thats the big change which i think could be on the way for US basketball. At least the one which makes the most sense for college teams to sustain.
Allow colleges to offer specific degree programs to prodigy players - bring them in early and take developmental responsibility away from the shoe companies. Older players will still have a place but allow the prodigy players to push towards professionalism earlier.
MPJ could have been a college player 2-3 years ago but he was playing HS kids.
