The freshmen are rightfully getting a lot of love, but Barnett had a hell of a game on Senior Night. Kid had been dogged for disappearing in the second half of games, but he scored all 17 of his points in the second half of the comeback against Vandy. Tonight, he had 13 points and four rebounds in the second half. Every one of those points and rebounds were huge. And he played some hellacious defense.
His first 3 stretched the lead back to 45-38 after Arkansas made an early run. After Arkansas tied it at 51 and Tilmon made a couple of free throws, he scored five straight to stretch it back to seven, including hitting a couple of free throws after grabbing an offensive rebound. And his 3-pointer with 1:10 left was the dagger.
The line: 19 points, 11 boards, an assist, a block and only one turnover while playing all 40 minutes. Hell of a way to go out, I'd say.
