Saw this on the Rally for Rhyan Facebook page a little while ago. If you are a believer in prayer, add the Loos family to your list.
What happened today was very personal, private and traumatizing. But I feel it's important to share...not only because we need thoughts and prayers. But because I feel we've been in this journey together and a lot of people are worried about Rhy.
Rhyan had her 1st day of her last treatment today. It's torture and her mondays are always horrible. Long story short, today she stopped breathing and stiffened up. CPR had to be administered. 90 seconds into chest compressions, she came back and were able to find a pulse.
We are in the PICU right now. She's stable, her vitals are normalizing and she's responding as normal Rhyan would and has passed every neuro test so far. They will be doing a CT of her head because of her past history with her relapse and also an EEG on her head to rule out a seizure.
My last thoughts...hug your kids. Hug the people you love. And definitely hug someone in the medical field. I didn't think I could love the nurses here anymore bc they've literally become family to us. But today the love grew as they saved Rhyan's life.
