KA in year one. Almost an entire new roster. Those that have returned are not very good as players or leadership. We loss!
GP in year 4 with an experienced roster and favored to win the North of the Big 12 plays a Thursday night game against Troy St and gets his ass handed to him. Christiansen starts off the game have Smith and the RBs run the ball. Averaging 8+ yards a carry the first two possessions. Then he decides to throw, throw, throw the ball and Smith does this 3 and out thing and we sink into oblivion.
The difference between the two. Not much according to fans back in '04 or fans in '14. GP had a team that supposedly knew what they were supposed to do. GP is not fired and has won the SEC East the last two years.
KA has a team that doesn't seem to know what they are supposed to do.
In both cases fans blamed the HC and screamed for his head. GP should most likely been fired back then based on he had had his 4 years. KA hasn't had but one.
Maybe KA isn't as good as GP, but nobody knows that or what another 1 or 2 years might bring. However, IMO, firing him will continue the chaos because with all the turn downs the BB teams has gotten from coaches we seem to want, the real question is what kind of coach would want this job besides a True Son?
