1. Missouri needs new pre-game speeches. The last two games have been over in the first quarter. Last time they went on defense first, gave up a TD, three and out, gave up another TD and it was 14-0 before Damarea Crockett got on the field. This time they went on offense first. Three and out, touchdown, turnover, touchdown and the game was over. Just stunningly bad from the very start.

2. This team does nothing well. I mean, yeah Corey Fatony is really good, but other than that, what would you say this team does well?

3. As I tweeted, the last time I saw so many third down passes thrown short of the sticks Paul Hackett was the Chiefs' offensive coordinator with Steve Deberg and Steve Bono at quarterback. And when you call a draw play to Ish Witter on third and six, are you really giving your team a chance?

4. The penalties might be the worst part of all of it. That's 100% discipline and focus. Missouri had three false starts in its first 11 plays, one of which turned third and one into that third and six. They're not good enough to win playing sloppy football against anybody.

5. I want the Chiefs to draft Auburn kicker Daniel Carlson. Every kickoff was in the back of the end zone or longer. He made two 50+ yard field goals and had ten yards to spare. He's real good.

6. I still don't think there are any firings midseason. Jim Sterk spent all week telling us that wasn't his style. He leaves for Italy tomorrow morning. No way he's gonna can the football coach and then jet to Europe for a few days. I don't think it would accomplish much of anything anyway. There are eight games left. We will get through them and then see where we're at and what happens.
