Anyone remember when Mike Slive demanded the conference improve the quality of basketball in the league? It was 2014 and the league was known as a "football conference" and was not getting very many teams into the tournament. He mandated things like scheduling tougher non con opponents and schools had to submit their schedules for approval. Program investment went up. Some schools really stepped up their coaching hires. And now you got Auburn as a top team. Kentucky and LSU are elite. Tennessee and Arkansas will be in the tournament. Texas A&M made a good hire that probably coached his team into a bid.

What has Mizzou done since Slive made his demands to improve basketball? They should be a top 5 SEC program with our arena and history. I hope they get serious about the program and make a serious hire to get competitive in this league again. Because other teams invested and are passing Mizzou by.
